Paper Pots

Having just finished school, I still have a huge pile of papers that I used in class. I’ve been reading up on ways to use paper instead of plastic for seeding and I thought, “what better way to recycle paper than this?”

I’m fond of origami so I simply searched for origami boxes online and found this design. I liked it because it’s narrower than most box designs so it’ll hold more soil. What worries me though is that the paper might soak up water and get ruined. Some people say that it’ll hold up okay, so let’s just see what happens.

Have you tried using paper pots? How was it?

Very cool use for origami. I’ve made paper pots before but never found a good use for them. Nice!:)

Thanks for your comment! Some of the seeds I planted last week has already sprouted so I transferred some to the pot. I’m bought more seeds today so I’ll be making more pots soon. 🙂

I'd love to hear from you!
